pspan idlblFullStory classc4At 0046 hours on the 3rd of March the Highlands FD was toned out for a reported structure fire at 30 Shrewsbury Ave. Chief Pete Lynch 17-66 was the 1st unit to arrive on scene and confirmed a working structure fire. 17-77 arrived on scene with 2nd Assistant Chief Billy Kane and called for a 2nd Alarm along with Chief Lynch. 17-77 stretched 2 ndash 2 frac12 line to protect exposures on both the ldquoBrdquo and ldquoDrdquo sides. 2nd Assistant Chief Kane ordered no members into the structure as 17-90 arrived on scene and began setting up for ladder operations. Sea Bright FD Sta 43 arrived on scene and set up ldquo43 Truckrdquo in the driveway of exposure ldquoDrdquo. Station 43 went to work in the structure at 28 Shrewsbury Chief Chad Murphy 43-66 pulled his guys from the structure as the fire conditions grew worse.br br Atlantic Highlands FD Sta 85 arrived on scene with 85-90 85-75 85-66. 85-90 set up on the ldquoBrdquo exposure and put the bucket up for ladder operations. 85-75 stretched two 2 frac12 along the ldquoBrdquo exposure and conducted fire suppression operations. Middletown Township FD Station 1 Navesink was on scene as RIT. MTFD Station 4 CommunityLeonardo was called to the scene for man power and Monmouth Beach Sta 33 was called into to assumed RIT stand by. The fire was knocked down and under control at 0215 and Chief Pete Lynch deemed the fire out at 0245. One firefighter was transported to Monmouth Medical center by the Highlands First Aid Squad fro hypothermia.
